Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe: Tamil Nadu, India's southernmost state, has a wide range of delectable delicacies. These delectable cuisines will not only satisfy one's taste buds but will also satisfy one's appetite.

This land of Dravidian culture is a vegetable lover's paradise. It offers a wide variety of delectable vegetarian cuisines that showcase Tamil Nadu's culinary prowess. Tamilians are known for their love of steamed rice, which is their staple diet.

Ingredients: 

 • 1 cup Rice Flour / Kuzhi Paniyaram (Kerala)

 • 2 cups Water

 . salt

 Method:

Wash the rice thoroughly and soak them overnight. Drain out water from the soaked grains. Grind the soaked rice flour to make smooth paste. Add little water and grind well. If the mixture becomes thick then add little extra water.

Mix well.  Heat oil in a frying pan. Spread the kuzhi paniyaram batter. Fry it until golden brown. Serve hot with sambar or any gravy.

ll Method: 

Kuruba paniyaram (Kuzhippu) is a South Indian sweet dish prepared using green gram which is popularly known as Kurumba paniyaram or Kuzhi Paniyaram. Green gram is commonly called as kuruva. These days, people use different types of spices and spices to prepare this yummy dish.

Here we have given a simple kuzhi paniyaram recipe without using any spice. You just need to add some raw sugar and ghee to make it delicious.

 Ingredients:

 • 1 cup Green Gram (Kuruma/Kurumba)

 • 1 tsp Ghee + extra for serving

 • 2 cups Sugar

 Method:

1)  Boil the green gram in water until soft. Drain the water and grind them into smooth paste. Keep aside.

2)  Heat the ghee in a pan and add the sugar. Stir continuously till the sugar melts and turns golden brown.

3) Now pour the hot milk over the ground mixture and mix well. Serve warm.

 Ingredients:

 • 1 cup rice flour  - 2 cups water

 • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

 • ¼ tsp red chili powder

 • ¼ cup sugar

 • oil – as u need

 • salt – as u need

Method

 1. Mix them well and keep aside

2. Take a pan and add oil

 3. Fry the onions till golden brown and remove

 4. Add spices and fry for a minute

 5. Add the fried onion and sauté for about two minutes

 6. Now add the rice flour mixture and mix well

 7. Cook for five minutes stirring continuously

 8. Remove from flame once done

 9. Serve hot as per taste

 11. Can cook with any type of dry lentils or urad dal/semolina

 12. Also try with moong dal/gram flour

 13. Add green peas along with rice flour if you feel like

 14. Try adding some coconut milk or thickened curd for consistency
